The Reverend Becky Schwandt
Born and raised in Springfield, Missouri, Pastor Becky Schwandt feels called to share the love of God in Jesus Christ in this area. She graduated from the Springfield Public Schools system and received her bachelor’s degree at Drury University. After college she moved to Louisville, Kentucky to attend Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary and graduated with both Master of Divinity and Master of Theology degrees. Pastor Becky is passionate about education, both Christian Education in the church and the value of education and lifelong learning in society at large. Pastor Becky has been with OPC since October 2019. In her spare time, she enjoys kayaking, reading, and card games.
Office Manager
Tami Griffeth
Tami is a native Missourian and graduated from Missouri State University with a degree in Psychology. After working for 30 years for the State of Missouri, she started working at OPC as her “retirement job”. That was 10 years ago. She has been a steady presence in our office and our church through times of change and times of growth. In recent years she has also taken on the role of our church custodian. Tami is married to her husband Chet and has two grown children and one grandchild. Her favorite Bible verse is Proverbs 3:5, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; and lean not unto your own understanding.”
Piano/Organist
Gary Bancroft
Gary Bancroft is a very talented musician. For much of his career, Gary worked as a staff accompanist at Missouri State University playing a wide variety of musical genres. He is also a long-time church musician, following in his father’s footsteps who was a church organist as well. Gary has been with us for about a yearr and delights our congregation with his musical offerings.
